I was staying with friends in Constancia and they recommended Vineyard Car Hire. Despite having no availability of the type of car I was looking for on their website, I emailed them on the off chance. They came back to me promptly with a solution at a competitive price and I went for that, which included pickup and drop off in Constancia,. It was a a breeze. They turned up on time and it was all done in 5 mins. The car was ideal and all the T & Cs and charges were clear and unambiguous. What became very clear from the outset was that this is a truly professional company and every interaction I had with them was positive. When there was a problem with the return of my deposit, due to some issue with their bank, they were all over it until it was resolved. In summary, a great team with a very good product, who do a great job. One of my friends, had the same experience. Highly recommended! ~ Allan T

I’ve been looking forward to writing this review for Vineyard Car Hire since I first began the reservation process. We could not have had a better experience! They were completely helpful and accommodating with each change we made, which were several. The whole process was seamless, and each person we interacted with couldn’t have been friendlier. They were also great about giving us clear directions, both verbally and written on the return process. If I had to pick the best company I’ve EVER worked with, it would be Vineyard Car Hire. Excellent service throughout our car rental. Booking was easy and email correspondence was answered promptly and helpfully. The car was delivered to our hotel with the handover handled quickly but efficiently and pleasantly, with the car checked over, the controls explained, and the drop off at the airport explained. The car was very good, exactly as ordered, clean and low mileage.Drop off was also good with the directions taking us easily and directly to the drop off point. We also appreciated the refuelling policy where they refill the car as required with no service charge and at cost. Overall a very good and stress free experience. ~ dave d

The best Car Hire in Cape Town by a long mile. I have used Vineyard over 20 years for multiple trips and have always had a brilliant experience. From booking, pick up and drop back there is nothing better and the attention to customer experience is perfect. My most recent trip at the start of February i was met at the airport by Mr Alroy, who showed me over to the car, checked the vehicle with me and sent me on my way. I came across Vineyard Car Hire while looking at reviews for car hire and their rating made me decide to book with them. I was not disappointed at all. A seamless customer experience. The hire car - A Nissan Magnite - was pristine, low mileage and drove comfortably on a very long road trip. They even arranged that I could drop-off the vehicle on a Sunday, outside of their opening hours. Special thanks to Alan for receiving us. What an unbelievably pleasant experience! From their staff upon arrival being friendly, efficient and informative (special shoutout to Shane) - the collection is effortless! Their support while you have the car is all explained and the car was in great condition - zero problems on the road. The drop off was as seamless as the collection, again with a friendly member of staff there to greet you and assist with the final details before heading off. Very happy with the car that Vineyard Car Hire provided for us, it looked brand new and drove well. The price was good, the staff very friendly and they dropped us off to a spot in the middle of the busy city which was very much appreciated. The only hickup was the drop-off of the car at Cape Town Airport domestic terminal, which was pre-arranged. But the driver was an hour late and said he was waiting for us at the International terminal... but we soon got over this and were very happy with everything else. ~ Jeff M

The service that I received from Vineyard with renting there car was the most stress-free, easy comfortable experience with renting a car for our trip in cape town. We rented the Nissan Almera and it was delivered to us clean and the functions of the car all working properly. Definitely using vineyard again next time I visit cape town. These guys are a case-study for why the passion of small business will always beat the faceless corporate monster. Excellent local car hire company. We were hiring a car for two weeks holiday in the Western Cape and Vineyard made the whole process very easy and stress free. They delivered directly to our hotel and completed a quick, efficient but friendly hand over and the collection at the end was similarly good. We got the exact car we ordered which was low mileage and in good condition. All communication was good too and hard to find any fault so I would highly recommend using them ~ David D

10 out of 10 for Vineyard. We hired a car for 10 days. Booking was straightforward online. The car was good, no problems, low mileage with good tyres. The support we received to familiarise us with the vehicle was very welcome. Returning the car was quick and easy and the security deposit was returned within a few days. December 2023: I didn’t need a car this time but thought I’d lost my wallet in a taxi. I was over an hour away and Lloyd at Vineyard drove to the airport for me to check with the taxi firm. Needed to hire a vehicle urgently. Vineyard Car hire was exceptional with their service and delivery. I had a vehicle dropped off within an hour. I did not have to leave my work. What impressed me even more, was their turn around time to refund my deposit paid. I was amazed that within 48hrs I was refunded. Normally car hire places take forever ans you have to follow up. Great service, friendly stuff. I rent the car over phone, they dropped the car to my hotel. When I drop off the car they gave lift to airport. Their car is new and very fuel efficient. Car rental comes with full tank of gas. Which you could travel approx. 500km. Their rental rate fair which includes a tank of gas. Anyway I highly recommend them for your car rental. ~ Murat Y

Recently hired a car with Vineyard Car Hire. They delivered for free to my hotel, with the most efficient and professional service. All was arranged in 30 min via Whattsapp, payment links sent and car delivered! Car drop off at the airport was convenient and very close to the airport terminal. The convenience of their delivery and pickup service first attracted me, but I continue with them because of their outstanding customer service across the board. What an efficient and friendly and easy experience it was to hire from Vineyard while my car was at the panel beaters! Everyone with whom I had any contact was great -from the person in the office to the person delivering the car to the panelbeaters. We hired a Toyota Avanza through Vineyard Car Hire and had excellent service at a very reasonable charge. The vehicle itself came through Hertz and was in excellent condition. We were met in the airport terminal and managed to by-pass all the queues at the major companies. Drop of at the airport was efficient and quick. Highly recommended. ~ Roger K
